FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is internet access necessary to place an order with Katering at Home? Yes, all orders must be placed online and payment through Credit Card, MasterCard or PayPal.

Does Katering at Home have a minimum order? There is a minimum order of $80

How do I pay? Payment is made securely through credit card, PayPal or credit card. If you wish to pay via direct deposit please contact us.

Where do you deliver? We currently deliver around Sydney metro and surrounds via a contact less delivery service. Please enter your postcode into the postcode checker at the bottom of the home screen or contact us as we are always expanding our delivery zones kateringathome@katering.com.au

What do you charge for delivery? All deliveries within 10km of our warehouse will be charged a standard $11. All orders within this area  that are over $2o0 spend will receive free shipping. We also offer a pickup service from Redfern or you can book a courier to collect. We accommodate deliveries outside this area on a suburb by suburb basis with set delivery charges so please touch base at kateringathome.com.au or enter your postcode at checkout for charges. 

Will my food stay fresh during delivery? Yes, all of our deliveries are made in refrigerated NSW Food Authority licenced vans. The meals are also packed into a thermal cooler box with ice pack. We guarantee that your items will stay cold for 4 hours from drop off.

 

Do I have to be home for delivery? If you are not home upon delivery we certainly accommodate this and will send a text upon drop-off.  We will collect your box and ice pack when we next deliver so please leave it out with any used jars you might have for us to recycle.

What happens if I am not home? Let us know and we will leave your delivery in a safe drop off location. Please provide access codes if necessary. These will be kept completely confidential. Please also provide a mobile number so that we can text you the location of your box.

What time does delivery take place? Can I book a specific time? Currently we deliver once per week on a Tuesday afternoon between 12pm and 6.30pm. We  cannot guarantee a specific time for delivery due to traffic and run time but most deliveries take place during 3-6.30pm. If we plan to deliver to your suburb earlier you will be sent a text the day prior. If you would like your box delivered at a specific time this will incur a $40 delivery charge. 

What happens if I have any questions regarding my delivery?

You can always call the Katering at Home Cooking Helpline on 0475 303 080 we can help you with any questions you may have regarding your delivery, your meal, ingredients, re heating instructions etc.

 

How many days in advance am I able to order?

Orders open each Friday. All orders must be in by the following Thursday 8pm to allow us to source all the fresh ingredients needed to for fulfill your order. Upcoming menus are posted on our web site a week in advance so you have plenty of time to make your selections.

 

What happens if I miss out on ordering?

No need to panic, we have now set up our cafe so that you can collect a select range of family favorites weekdays between 8am and 1pm right from our kitchen at 605 Elizabeth street, Redfern. Feel free to call ahead and see what we have in stock.   

 

Does Katering at Home use artificial additives?

We don’t use any artificial flavour enhancers or preservatives in the kitchen, however there are some ready-made sauces we use occasionally in our weekly meals. (for example Asian sauces) If you have any concerns or if you would like to request a list of ingredients please contact us at https://kateringathome.com.au. How long will the food stay fresh for?

See the best before date on each menu. The meals are designed to stay fresh for up to 4 days and our Family Favourite items arrive frozen and will keep for up to 3 months in your home freezer. All other jarred and boxed items have use by date stickers.

 

I have a serious food allergy, should I order?

We take great care to ensure that all our products have clearly marked ingredients. Though, we cannot guarantee trace allergens are not present in any item as we produce all items including nuts, seeds, dairy, seafood and eggs from our commercial catering kitchen.
